What is an Auto Enthusiast Facility?   This can be anything from a dedicated race track facility to a location that has businesses and areas for automobiles to be displayed, repaired, tuned, and in some cases demonstrated to showcase their abilities.   It is not necessarily only a place for motor-heads to gather and rev their engines, do burnouts, or act obnoxiously with their cars.
Are there other enthusiast facilities in this area? Within a 2+/- hour driving radius there are auto enthusiast facilities such as the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY and the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL or the Memphis International Race Park in Memphis, TN.   These facilities are more focused on racing motorsports.   There is nothing right around Nashville that offers car enthusiasts a place to meet, shop, tune, and demonstrate their passion for cars.
Are there a lot of car enthusiasts in this area around Metro Nashville?  Have you been to a Nashville  Cars & Coffee event on the first Saturday of the month recently?  There most certainly are a lot of residents in this area passionate about cars.  And there is also a lot of money being spent in that arena.  From high end exotic cars to diy hand built cars and everything in between there is a passion for cars in this local area.
A group has put together a plan on 260+/- acres located just North of I-840 in Rutherford county at the edge of Williamson County that could offer all of these enthusiasts a place to shop, tune, display, and yes even demonstrate the performance of their automobile.  The park is slated to be called Nashville Motorsports Enclave (NME).  Their vision is for a luxury high-end property that would include luxury garages, restaurants, a business center, an event center, and yes a 2.8 mile road course.  Think Disney Land for Car People.
Having this type of high end facility in the Nashville Metro area would keep tax revenue and expenditures in our local market as people are fleeing to these other nearby facilities now to enjoy their car experiences.
As this facility is in Rutherford County there will be a planning meeting and this facility could use your support via this petition to get the facility approved.  If you want to sign the petition in support of the NCE it can be found here http://nashvillemotorsports.com/petition/ .
Personally I am a car-guy and I have a 2011 BMW M3 Competition package and I have spent time at NCM in KY, and Atlanta Motorsports Park outside Atlanta and I would enjoy talking to you personally about how you can enjoy your car more with like -minded people and how this is a great idea for the Nashville Metro area. Please feel free to reach out to us at Gray Fox Realty to talk about how this can affect the area and the impact on the Franklin TN real estate market too.
